Cruze's Surgery

Cruze had surgery on Tuesday, Oct. 16th.
The surgery was to correct his Chordee.
(this picture was the day before)

This was us waiting to check in at 6 am.

You may have read in previous post of Cruze's breathing episode in
a past procedure. So they did a breathing treatment prior as though he were having
major asthma attack, He does not have asthma, but this was to open airways.
They thought it would avoid any breathing occurances this time around.
~
Cruze's breathing was broken again through surgery. His breathing was making a sound that is abnormal. Surgery was only to be an hour at most they said. They took him back near 7:35. And did not come back out nearly 2 hours later. You had better believe I was a nervous Momma. Turns out what they thought was causing his breathing to stop last time is not the case. They believe Cruze to have, Tracheomalacia. (when the cartlidge in the trachea is softened, and results in a callapse) Dr said that his is quite softend. So we are now going to see an ENT (ear, nose, throat specialist) With Tracheomalacia, it sometimes occurs for no reason at all and at anytime.

This is our new toy they let us bring home. The recovery nurse said she had heard Cruze had a big brother, I said yes he sure does. She handed me a size bigger in the masks that fits Justin perfect! Justin was so excitied!

Overall, I feel as though we are blessed to have this new semi diagnosis.
Not for Cruze to have it, but to maybe start explaining a few things.
And for Dr's to start taking me more seriously when I have a lagitmiate concern.

We are very blessed to have so many friends and family, that love and care for our family.
Our Heavenly Father has blessed us immensly.
He watches over us, and He is mindful of our every need.
It is such a comfort to know these things.

And it is great to be home safe and sound!
